The validity of the effectiveness data has to be assessed looking at the original studies, since no details were reported in the present study. The cost analysis is accurate, being based on a study conducted by the authors themselves. However, it would have been useful if they had provided information about statistics parameters, such as power calculations to determine the sample size, confidence intervals and p-values for the difference of cost/quantity results between intervention and comparator groups. In particular, the sample size of the patients investigated (32 overall) might be too small to draw any valid conclusions.
