Annual outcome improvements of vaccination modifications per method were summarised as follows: Using the current DTP vaccination results in an estimate of 6,402 incidences of the diseases and 142,325 adverse reactions to vaccination. It was estimated that there are 9 deaths from DTP using this vaccination protocol.
Scenario 1: no change in DTP incidence, an incremental reduction of 47,368 adverse effects compared to the base vaccination. There was no change in the number of deaths (9 cases).
Scenario 2: incremental reductions of 804 incidences of disease, 18,646 adverse effects and 1 less death all compared to scenario 1. Using the current Hib vaccination, disease incidence was estimated to be 3,126 with 131 fatalities. There were no adverse events.
Scenario 3: incremental reductions of 493 Hib incidents and 20 deaths, compared to the base Hib vaccination data. Using the current MMR vaccination it was estimated that the incidence of disease was 7,270 with 87 adverse events and 14 deaths.
Scenario 4: incremental reductions of 300 MMR incidents, a reduction of 41 adverse effects, and 1 less death compared with the base MMR vaccination.
Scenario 5: incremental reductions of 3,817 MMR incidents, 7 adverse effects, and 7 deaths, all compared to scenario 4.
