It is important to point out that, in general, reports come from state-of-the-art centers with wide experience in this surgical field. On the other hand, these procedures are not adverse-event-free, in many cases severe and disabling; consequently, patient selection should be carefully carried out once more conservative therapeutic approaches have been ruled out. There is still not enough literature about the quality of life in these patients or about their long-term evolution.
