Ottawa: Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH). 2011 Authors' conclusions Limited evidence showed that celecoxib versus non-COX-2 selective non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (nsNSAIDs) and proton pumps inhibitors (PPIs) had a similar clinical efficacy and safety profile. nsNSAIDs plus PPIs may be marginally more cost-effective versus celecoxib in the management of adult patients with rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis.
