Ottawa: Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH). 2012 Authors' conclusions Tiotropium appears to help improve objective lung function test measures, reduce the proportion of patients with =1 exacerbation, and improve COPD-related symptoms. There were conflicting results between the two included reports regarding a reduction in frequency of exacerbations. The use of tiotropium did not demonstrate a survival benefit.
