Citation Ruano Gándara R, Rey-Ares L, Pichon-Riviere A, Augustovski F, García Martí S, Alcaraz A, Bardach A, Ciapponi A, López A. Rehabilitación cognitiva en déficit cognitivo secundario a accidente cerebrovascular. [Cognitive rehabilitation in cognitive deficit secondary to stroke] Buenos Aires: Institute for Clinical Effectiveness and Health Policy (IECS). Informe de Respuesta Rapida No. 439. 2015 Authors' conclusions The evidence found on the use of cognitive rehabilitation in cognitive deficit secondary to stroke is of moderate methodological quality. Cognitive rehabilitation only showed short-term improvement as to space awareness, split attention (that involving multiple tasks), activities of daily living associated to motor apraxia and verbal fluency, but no positive results were found about memory and execution functions. These results should be interpreted considering that this intervention can not be generalized, since it is customized for each specific patient.
There is no consensus on its coverage among the health sponsors surveyed or the clinical practice guidelines included.
