What are the changes?

We are changing the way we prioritise critical appraisal of systematic reviews and economic evaluations that appear on the CRD databases.

The CRD databases remain the best place to find systematic reviews and economic evaluations, but from now on we will focus critical appraisal on the evidence that is most relevant to key NHS priorities.

For everything else, you can simply click the ‘Request’ button in the record or search results display, and we will aim to provide you with a detailed critical appraisal of your chosen systematic review or economic evaluation within 24 hours.

Who can use the request service?

Anyone working in the UK NHS, public health or social care services can use the request service.
